Senior Pastor – Pastor Richard D. Butts
Pastor Butts received his B.A. in Bible and a Masters in Bible from Bob Jones University and Seminary, Greenville, South Carolina. Over the years, he has served the Lord as a teacher, youth pastor, and senior pastor.
He founded Westside Baptist Church in 1980 in a store front in Spring Branch. The Lord moved the church to Katy in 2007. With the move to Katy, Westside Baptist Academy was founded as a ministry of Westside Baptist Church to help educate and train young people for the Lord.
Pastor Butts and his wife, Debbie, have been in the ministry for over 40 years, have 3 children, and 8 grandchildren.
